After tormenting top contender Matthew Macklin for the better part of 2 ½ rounds, “GGG” unleashed a left hook from hell that sent the tough Irishman to the canvas writhing in pain. It was a perfect shot to the liver that felled him, reminiscent of Bernard Hopkins’ KO of Oscar De La Hoya, and Roy Jones over Virgil Hill.
